I have digitized the pattern for the hare based on a needle cushion from the 19th century.
The needle cushion is stored at Sörmlands Museum, inventory number 5158, see their photo below.
The original needle cushion is worked on stramalj (likely Berlin wool work canvas or similar coarse evenweave), probably embroidered with wool yarn.
Around the edge of the cushion, you can see a fringe in a slightly shifting green color.
I have not been able to determine whether it is a ready-made fringe or if it was embroidered.
This is a small embroidery, only about 9 × 9 cm. It works perfectly as a needle cushion or framed in a 10 × 10 cm frame.

Embroidered with DMC Mouliné Spécial 25, 6 colors, 2 strands.
The yarn usage for this pattern is less than one skein per color.
The pattern uses only full cross stitches.
