About Carolinas Broderi

Hej!

My name is Carolina Nymark, and I design the patterns available in the shop.

I also have an interest in embroidery and textile history, reuse, and the reproduction of classic designs. I find joy in rediscovering older patterns and sharing them with others. I also enjoy reinterpreting non-textile crafts through embroidery – for example, an old wood carving, a painting, or even a rune stone.

When I embroider, the pattern and the finished piece are less important than the process itself. For me, both designing patterns and stitching are forms of mindfulness. It’s about taking time for myself, relaxing while focusing on a task that feels calming and restorative, and allowing myself a pause.

I mainly stitch cross stitch, but also work with free embroidery. I try to challenge myself by experimenting with different materials, stitches, and techniques. I plan to learn more about wool embroidery.

If you’re curious about what I’m currently working on, I’ll be writing about it on the blog.

I run the shop as part of my own business, where my main occupation is working as a web development consultant.
