Keep track of your pattern with pattern keeper

Pattern Keeper is a Swedish-developed Android app that lets you save digital cross stitch patterns.

With Pattern Keeper, you can keep track of your progress in a pattern. Simply tap the stitches you’ve completed, and the app will show you how many stitches you’ve done and how many are left. You can also zoom in on the pattern on your screen.

When I first started stitching, I often marked directly on the paper patterns. I now regret doing that, as it makes it harder to use the pattern again. For example, I once made the big mistake of drawing over my beloved pattern for Eva Rosenstrand / Clara Weaver’s Stockholm map! After talking with other cross stitch enthusiasts, I realized that patterns can have a second-hand value, especially older designs that are no longer printed.

It’s no wonder the app has become really popular for cross stitch and has over one hundred thousand downloads.

With Pattern Keeper on your phone or tablet, you can read PDF files. There’s also a new feature that lets you photograph your paper patterns with your phone and save them in the app.

I test all patterns in the web shop in Pattern Keeper to ensure they work correctly.

The app costs $9 USD, and you pay directly through the app.
