On Carolinasbroderi.se, I only sell digital patterns, no paper patterns or ready-made kits.
To use the pattern, you need software that can open .zip files and PDF files. After purchase or when selecting a free pattern, you will receive a link to the page where you can download the files.
- You need to be logged in to access the files.
- You have immediate access to the files, with no waiting time.
- Download the files as many times as you like.
The ZIP file generally contains two or more PDF files: one with the pattern and a separate PDF file for the Pattern Keeper app.
Patterns and instructions are provided in Swedish and English.
What’s included may vary slightly depending on the pattern and its size:
- Color and symbol chart for DMC embroidery floss
- Suggested fabric and size (Aida, plastic canvas, or linen)
- Instructions for cross stitch, including how to start and finish your embroidery
- Often, the PDF contains multiple copies of the digital pattern: a color version, a grayscale version, and versions with and without text.
- Or the same pattern, but with different symbol sizes so you can easily choose the size that suits you best.
One of the main advantages of digital PDF patterns is that you can zoom in on the pattern on your screen if you wish.
The pattern can be printed. I recommend only printing the pages you need. If the PDF contains two patterns, just print the one you prefer. Otherwise, it can be many pages: printing the entire PDF including instructions, cover page with a thumbnail, and all patterns can be up to 20 pages!
Software for reading digital patterns
I recommend Adobe Acrobat Reader for reading the PDF files.
Tip! If you have access to the paid version, Adobe Acrobat, you can also save copies of the pattern with your own notes.
